Hi Guys, I'm not sure where the problem is, and therefore , which forum to post it in, but here goes.
I recently installed a ESS in my Chinese 6040 Router.
I use Cut2D to generate the G Code and Mach3 to run the machine.

I think this started after the ESS install, but not sure.
Problem:  I load the G Code frorm Cut2D. When I press Cycle Start in Mach 3, the code moves 2 lines ( stops at N140TM06 ) and then stops....I have to press Cycle Start again before the spindle starts and the rest of teh G Code is read.
I ttied the same code in Mach3 in Demo mode on another PC and it doesn't do it!

I assume it has something to do with the Mach 3 configuration on my CNC Machine.( wrong box ticked?)
Has anyone seem this before? Any idea what causes it?

I  have no idea where to start looking. I don't know much about G Code.
I have attached the FIRST PART of the last G Code this happens on, but they all do it.

General Mach Discussion / Set up 2 probes at same time in Mach 3
« on: November 07, 2018, 06:26:04 AM »
Hi Guys,
I have been using a Z Probe since buying my machine with no problems. I have since bought a Digitizing Probe to learn how to use it and see if it is going to be a useful tool.

In Mach 3 under Config>Ports and Pins>Inputs , I only see one input that seems to  relate to Probing.

As I am using a different input for my Digitizing Probe, I had to change the setting I had in Mach 3 for my Z Probe. I don't want to disturb that setting each time I want to use the DP. ( I am trialing the 'Probe It' software. )

Am I able to set up and use BOTH probes without having to change settings in Mach 3?

Hi Guys,
I've owned a Chinese X61500GT for a couple of years now. Using a licensed copy of Mach 3, and AKZ250 USB BOB that came with it.
Today I noticed that when I  input G code to start the spindle, ie M3 S5000, the spindle starts ok but is going ALOT faster than 5000 RPM.
If I do the same for 24000 RPM, the spindle is spinning ALOT slower than 24000 RPM, so the commands appear to be 'reversed'. How is this even possible?
I have no idea if the speeds are correct when cutting jobs as I don't have a tacho on the spindle yet?

I don't recall changing anything that may cause this and it was ok when I commissioned the Router, when I first got it.
I am using external pots to vary spindle speed and feed, so I can adjust during a run. They have always worked ok. I did have to solder another connector to the board as it onlt came with one, but that went without issues....

Does anyone have a any inkling as to what 'setting' maybe causing this?

Steve
