General Mach Discussion / Homing using Ref Home
« on: October 19, 2014, 11:59:12 AM »
Hello,

My Machine works well now, except, when homing the slaved axis.

The Y axis has a homing switch, agh Axis doesn't, when i select Ref Home the machine homes and then moves away from the switches, all seems well.
The problem is:  the A axis is slightly out of sync with the Y axis, and each time i ref home the error it is out by the same amount again, its about .6mm out each time i hit ref home button.

The machine is pulley and belt driven so if i Ref home 7 or 8 time in succession, the machine jumps a tooth on the pulley.

Could the Y axis motor not be in sync with the A axis motor?

If not any ideas?

I am using a UC300 controller from cnc4you

General Mach Discussion / Is this a suitable power supply
« on: April 20, 2014, 02:02:50 PM »
Hi,

I have bought a http://www.cnc4you.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=280 48V 12A CNC Power Supply

Do you think that this power supply is too higher voltage for the kit i have, 3 nema 23's and 1 nema 17

I have attached the spec on the 3 nema 23 motors and the motor driver

Thank you

General Mach Discussion / Axis Problem
« on: April 18, 2014, 03:54:38 AM »
Hi,

I have a small problem with setting up a second servo on the far side of the Y axis as a slave.

Everything seems to work well until homing (after hitting the switch), the y axis moves away from the homing switch just fine, but the axis doesn’t stop moving away from the switch, it keeps moving until I reset

The settings set are;

A axis set as angular
 Home slave with master axis

Motor outputs:
 A axis is enabled

Ports and pins:
A Home pin number is set the same as Y home

Slave Axis
A Axis Slaved with Y axis

Any ideas what I may have missed?
