LazyCam (Beta) / Important Tip For All Autocad Users
« on: February 13, 2009, 03:34:16 PM »
Hi,

Generally, I'm asking help for stuff, but this time I have some invaluable info for everybody using autocad with text entries.

If you are trying to put .dxf files with text into LazyCAM, then you need this tip!

Draw your text into autocad, whatever font you like, then type this command in:

txtexp

select your text as the object.

voila, you have now exploded the text into multiple lines which most cam packages should handle as polylines.  If you find that some shapes are still linked, use the regular command, explode, to finish it off.

Hope this helps somebody.

LazyCam (Beta) / Trouble With Arcs
« on: December 29, 2008, 01:09:54 PM »
Hello,

I have the following .Lcam file, which is a guitar scratch plate.  However, when I try to lazy cam it, I get multiple chains for the main outline.  I would like it to cut in one continuous motion.  Anybody got any ideas?

I'm using LCam Version 3.00.

Thanks in advance, Guys
