General Mach Discussion / Lower spindle speed needed
« on: May 30, 2013, 02:57:01 AM »
Hello, i have the problem, my spindle starts at 1200 rpm, because the frequency converter needs a dc signal, i switched by a relay. The relay starts at a minimum speed at 1200 by mach 3. Is there a way to change the value, so my relay switched at 600 rpm, and not at 5% auf the max speed of 24000 rpm. I need lower speed for edgefinder...

General Mach Discussion / Shuttle Pro Plugin some questions...
« on: February 12, 2013, 05:52:12 AM »
Hello i have installed the shuttle pro 2.0 it is nice.
But if i move the machine with the outer ring in one direction, and then release the ring, the machine does not stop, but walk very slowly in the direction i selected. It stops not untill i rotate i Little bit over zero in the other direction?

Is this a bug? I think it should stop, when the ring is in Zero Position.

Ref all does not work. Only z-axis works when select the buttom with this setting

General Mach Discussion / Bugy Mach crashed my machine
« on: February 04, 2013, 12:48:41 PM »
Hi,
the softkey-function is very bugy.
I have installed Mach 3 on several computers, and most times the softkeys works well. If i press the keyboard, the machine moves, and if take the finger from the buttom it stopped, but sometimes if i release the buttom, the machine does not stopp and runs into the end-Switch.
Today the ********* happens, i have a 16mm running cutter in the machine and was posiitioning it with single step and keyboard  1mm down after the other, and then the error occurs and the machine goes into continious run, and the cutter runs through my t-grooved-pate and now there is a big hole in it.
I have tested different releases of mach 3 and the error appears on all. Should it be possible, that i was the first with this bug?
My nice new machine has no an ugly hole it it, *********, my eye is burning if i see it.

General Mach Discussion / Killed my spindle
« on: November 19, 2012, 08:54:30 AM »
Hello, i have killed my spindle today.
I am doing a cnc-job on my mill, then i pressed space to stop the machine because my wife is calling for eating, and when i will go on, i first pressed goto reference postiion, and then start.
What happens, the z-axis goess down, and then x- and y- is going to its position. But with z-axis down, the spindle has a collision with the clamping claws. The milling cutter is broken and the spindle gets curved.
What can i do that this happens never again?
Is it possile  that first x- and y-axis goes to position and last z-axis goes down?
