General Mach Discussion / hand held controllers ?

im sure its been asked ... but  im wondering if there are any good hand held  controllers that are easy to set up and use... ive been very UNsuccessful with xbox controllers  and would like to have  something that would work almost all the features of mach ,  at least the rapid/slow movements
 i see some on ebay and other places  but not sure  what the easiest / best to have is .
i did get a usb controller to work but it seemed to cut out and had very basic buttons .

General Mach Discussion / help? y axis loss in programs ?

syilx6 mill , under mach3
my 3 axis mill is losing some  distance somewhere in  y  .  but only when running programs  .
when i move the table in and out on y axis  rapid  a bunch of times it will go to 0 with in .001'' ( dial indicator set up )  . but if i run a program , even a  short one it can get off up to -.020'', i think this is a new thing to happen since its been working well til last week . 
 i manually can turn the  skrew  when the machine is off and it seems dead on or very lil back lash .

would reinstalling  do anything ?

General Mach Discussion / setting G0 movement ??

hi , im new here , collin from novs scotia cananda .  i have been running a syil x6 3axis mill for  about a year . ive got most g code  stuff down pretty well  .
what id like  to do is set my G0 rapid travel to a slower setting  but i dont know  how .
  why ?? i just find its pretty fast and slinging a 200+ lbs table  around or the head up and  down is not good in the long run . also it would give me a lil more time to react if i messed up im also never in a hurry so half the speed its running would be  fine with me .
