General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 issue
« on: March 14, 2022, 04:18:08 PM »
I have Mach 3 that I run on my machine, and another copy that I keep on my programming computer, they both run Windows 10
I have started to see an issue when I run a program on my programming computer where it will start a program and go to the M30 block and then just stop, and after about 5 sec it will rewind and go back to the  first block.

I can take the same program, attached, and run it on the machine fine......I dont understand it.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

General Mach Discussion / HELP with new XP machine
« on: February 13, 2015, 09:06:04 PM »
I have been using a licensed verison of Mach 3 for about 2 yr.
My Vista box died, so I found an XP machine with a parallel port.
Loaded the software, ran the driver.exe....all is fine
When I powerup I hear 2 or 3 spurious pulses to the motors, so I know the steppers are fine.
I have set the ports and pins.
Set up estop again.
copied the XML file into the mach 3 directory.
I HAVE NO STEPPERS MOVEMENT
parallel port is the default address
I can use JOG, the DRO's move , but no stepper pulses.
NEED SOME ADVICE...
keep in mind , all I did was unplug my parallel port and plug it into the new machine, after loading software....dont have any stepper hardware issues.

General Mach Discussion / How to copy setup files to a new computer
« on: January 18, 2015, 03:27:48 PM »
My old Vista box died, and I have a XP box now.
I installed the licensed version of Mach 3 to the new computer.
The parallel port test passes.
I coped the entire mach 3 directory over to the new computer, and I can reset to estop , but nothing happens.
I cannot jog, figuring that would be the safest way to check the install.

Is there a quick way to fix this?

I have an operational machine, and have been cutting CUT3D demo files with it.
Mach 3 works fine.

I bought the license for Velectric VCarve Pro.... and created a part, the file looks good, but the MACH 3 is not working right, see attachment....

WHERE  DO i START TO FIX THIS?
I am using the same Mach 2/3-arcs(inch)- post processor.... need some advice

Mach3 under Vista / Getting concentric circles from the file
« on: August 09, 2013, 04:19:52 PM »
I have saved the yacht demo file from Velectric cut 3D, and have used it to cut several pieces, so it is a proven file , and no issues with the PP.
Today I opened the roughing file  and now, out of the blue, it has about 50 concentric circles in the tool path.

The finishing file does not have them.
WHat happened?
Where did the G2 commands come from in the roughing file?
did I set some option  unknowingly?
