Im setting up a new computer to run my licenced copy of Mach3
looking in the mach 3 folder on windows i see many many things. Which file do I need to copy to the new machine please?

General Mach Discussion / Something gone wrong and I need help

Hi,
I have been machining name tags from laminate, been doing them OK for days then suddenly today mach began joining the letters in random places. I have checked the model in cam bam and the toolpaths and they are fine. but load it into mach and there are spurious lines all over the place joining letters and destroying the work.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Bought the licence yesterday after trying Mach3 for a week. Thanks to you guys for the assistance where needed.

I'm quite proud of my first project (pic attached) although its only a motor mount for a model aircraft, I made a few mistakes here and there and had to make one component 3 times but its a steep learning curve at the start.

General Mach Discussion / Can you help me make 2 identical components in one sheet?

Sorry, I did say there would be many questions.

I need to make a "pair" of components. Now, I realize that I can simply make one and then shift the machine zero points to another loaction on the table but is there a way I can just copy a complete component and place it next to the first one?

Using Cambam and Mach3

Hi

Question, when I draw a shape in Cambam using polyline, How do I determine its size? The tutorial video covers everything  to do with creating and machining it but not how big it is.

Are the grid lines 1mm? if so, what if I wanted to draw something that was 50.5 between 2 points for example?

General Mach Discussion / New machine arrives tomorrow, first project advice sought

Hey, Introduced myself in the appropriate thread so won't do it again here

I get the machine tomorrow so will over the weekend be attempting to configure Mach 3 set the machine up and so on

Now, for my first trick, I want to program a simple 4 inch square with a 3 inch square cut out of it, leaving a half inch wide border, almost like a small picture frame.

This is just as a test piece and I will probably use a pen in the Z axis and draw it first.

So guys and gals, where do I start? is there a basic tutorial that I can read through someplace to take me from setting up Mach3 to making my first part>
