« on: December 09, 2017, 10:15:37 AM »
After  searching this forum over and over I haven't found the definite answer.
I am thinking about upgrading my PC to a new one running windows 10
I am using a ESS and running fine on 64 bit windows
what kind of luck running windows 10 PRO with mach3  with an  ESS
I have seen that it should work, but I wound love to hear from someone who has used windows 10 with an ESS 64 bit ETC.
Thanks in advance

General Mach Discussion / another safe Z question
« on: March 13, 2015, 12:07:50 PM »
After a lot of looking around I still cant find the answer that I can understand
I can ref all home   machine moves z all the way up then y to the rear of machine base then x to far right
that all works fine
then i go to 0     z goes up   x and y move to the proper set point and Z comes down to top of part
i think that is right
now i load code from Bob Cad and hit start
i want the z to go up to a safe distance above the part  but x and y start while z is at top of part   we reach the plunge spot and z will go up  and then down
to proper cut depth and runs fine
it is just the start with z down that is issue
what am i doing wrong
please show me the way to solve this
thanks

General Mach Discussion / MXL file
« on: March 09, 2015, 04:41:36 PM »
I have a licensed mach3 on an old bridgeport conversion
It took me a long time and lots of study to finally get it up and running
I have a buddy running the same setup  only now we are adding limit switches XYZ and soft limits to his ,( mine already has this )
With this added we can REF ALL HOME on his, like mine does
can i coppy my MXL file and replace his  MXL so we dont have to do all the
port pins step direction soft limits ETC.
Again both of us have license mach3 with bobcad
will this work

SmoothStepper USB / Mach3 with pmdx126 k1 and k2 relay
« on: April 26, 2014, 02:26:47 PM »
Hello to all
I need help.....
I have a working Bridgeport boss 5. 3 axis  Retro with PMDX 126, ESS, 64 bit, Mach3  Bobcad 25 GECKO drives and a few other things i am not remembering to include.
I have the PMDX 126 set up with all dip switches off for configuration. what i am trying to figure out is what to do to set up the system to turn coolant on and off with M codes
I need someone to tell what to do in ports and pins (I THINK) in mach 3, to activate output ?  For K1  And K2. if anyone can help PLEASE do .
I am not able to understand all the instructions given in all the manuals ,  If someone can tell me step by step from PMDX through mach 3 what to do it would be a BIG HELP
I am not trying to run in any kind of expanded mode or do any thing special. I just seem to hit a wall with the PMDX 126 settings in mach 3
There has to be someone out there who is running the same setup
Thanks in advance
