Hi,
I build a cnc router with ball screws and nuts from Ebay. Unfortunately, they did not come with any documentation.
I am also running servos with 14bit absolute encoders.

I have calculated my backlash and entered the values in Mach3.

When I calibrate my x and Y axis using Mach3, I have the following values per.  x 6600.500932 any y 6602.946044

When test cut a 3.00 circle, it is 2.9850 in diameter.

What is the formula to increase .015 to make it 3.00 diameter?

Any help would be appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / New 4th axis config
« on: November 19, 2011, 02:36:17 PM »
Greeting.
This is my first post.  I normally read through and search for an answer with great results.  However I am stuck with a problem.

I finished building a 4th axis for my home built cnc router. It's all wired up and connected the the A axis on my bob.
I fired up Mach3 and immediately the 4th axis started turning while in the Estop mode.
The 4th axis will only stop after I reset the Estop.

Motor Outputs
A axis settings
Enabled Step Pin#9  Dir Pin #8

I tried the red X mark to disable the Axis, but this had no effect.

Could somebody please guide me in the right direction as far as the correct config?

Thank you all in advance,
Rod
