General Mach Discussion / joystick

Hi,

Could someone help me? I bought a joystick on USB. It is a Genius F16-U. I configured the plugin, but I have only two axis in on direction each, and I do not know how to asign others commands like reverse direction, Z axis, and other buttons. I have read the posts about joysticks but could not figure out what I need to do. Please, help.

Yesterday I have downloaded version 70. I just installed it on the machine and had today a run. Now I can see on download area version 68. What is going on?

General Mach Discussion / skipping steps

Hi,

Since version 59 I have a problem running big files (>600K). I do not know the reason why but in the middle or after the middle of the program the machine is skipping steps. It is not a mechanical issue as it does on all my machines small or big (I built four machine until now), and it does not matter about acceleration or speed, it is not an issue with the driver as I have changed the drivers - homebuilt and Gecko, it is not an issue about computer as it does it on any computer or laptop I have tried and also the driver test looks OK. The files are made with Vcarve with standard and arcs postprocessor or Sheetcam or Photocarve or Cut3d or Meshcam. I have suspected noise, but if I run small files it does not happen. It is very frustrating as right now I am hoping to start my business in couple months and I am struggling to learn as much as possible to do engravings, Vcarvings, litho, photocarvings, etc and I do not know what is wrong, and I ruined a lot of pieces/material. Is there someone who had or have this problem or I am just alone? Could someone give some help/clue what to try to fix it? Quantum on the same computer did not skip steps. I was thinking about General Config but I do not know all the settings there, so, I can not say if it is OK or not.

General Mach Discussion / downloads

Hi,

I have seen at the bottom of download page, two downloads - "Special" and "C". One is sherlineMach3 ver 61 and the other one is Mach3 ver58CN. What are these? Could someone explain to me? I have downloaded them and I would like to see what are they, but first of all, I would like to understand what are the features comparing with standard Mach3.

General Mach Discussion / version 59 and 60

Hi,

I gave few trials of 59 and 60 versions. I had the same issue with both of them. If the file is bigger that 500K in the midlle of running the machine is skipping steps. It does not matter with what program I have generated the path. I have tried Vcarve and Sheetcam. I do not understand why. Also, for me is not clear the Shutle Wheel Settings and how this is connected with backlash. Could someone help me, please?

General Mach Discussion / version 2.00.049 strange behaviour

Hi,

Today I have updated to version 49. Btw it asked me during updating if I would like to update to version 48 which has been already installed. The strange thing is that during run the sprogram skipped couple lines of program. I installed the version 49 on other computer (also 1.7 GHz) and I got the same behaviour but with another file. I have re-installed version 48 and everything seems ok. Could someone help?
