Back Ground: Old computer finally kicked the bucket (xp system with mach3 parallel port setup no ss, served me well for 6 years) Have new computer running win 7 32bit, installed new ess.

I have loaded the latest mach3 (066), and ess V10fb2 driver. ran through the normal setup and cannot get the plugin to right any changes to the XML file (when I restart mach3 it is like a fresh install). Checked for read only conditions on XML already.

Questions;

1.  Does the ESS hardware have to be installed and connected in order to write to the XML file?

2. When you make changes to the ss pugin config in mach3 does it actually write code in the xml or somewhere else?

3. Any suggestions ?

General Mach Discussion / jog issue, please help

First time post,

Back Ground. CNC DIY router table 10ft x 4ft x 2.5ft using 34 steppers and ball screws with porter cable head. Mach3 software. Been using it for about 4 years typically at 100ipm. Need more speed so we upgraded to rack and pinion on all axis. (2 to1 belt reduction, 1" pitch dia and 8x micro step). Wow what a difference. Now able to see up to 1000ipm. System working smoothly and repeatable on all individual axis testing.

ISSUE: when I request more than one axis command the next command starts before the first one is finished.

example:

f500
x40
z1
z0

At approx 39" z starts to 1", at 40 " z is back to 0. x actually measures 40" and mach3 screen does show z starting up around 39" (may be lag not sure)
@ 100ipm i do not see this. may have always had the issue just never ran these speeds before.

Tried different accel speeds and kernel speeds no change.

thanks in advance for your help
