General Mach Discussion / Move to a specific location
« on: October 18, 2011, 06:58:40 AM »
Is there a way I can enter in an x, y coordinate and move to there without having to do it in G-Code?

Jogging will get me close but not exact.

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Continue from same point after e-stop
« on: October 14, 2011, 03:27:57 AM »
Hello,

Every once in a long while I get a limit switch error while cutting. Or I press the e-stop button.

What would the procedure be to continue from the point where it stopped?

1. click Reset?
2.

Then what?

Thanks

About once every half an hour to an hour the program reverses the direction of my X axis.

The way I know that it has happened is on the main screen, the yellow light flashes on the "Scale" for the X Axis, and the number switches from +1.0000
to -1.000.

The only way I have found to fix it is to shut down and restart the program. This is really slowing things down for me.

There seems to be no rhyme nor reason when it will happen. I haven't been making config changes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

General Mach Discussion / Homing offset, kind of
« on: July 13, 2011, 05:18:55 PM »
I am using my limits switches for home switches.

My problem is that when I home to a microswitch it sets off the limit travel as soon as the homing is done.

My understanding is that when Mach3 homes it will activate the switch and them back off until it turns off and sets home there.

My problem is the switch is triggering again since it's so close to the active position causing a travel limit error.

Is there a way to specify a distance for the system to back off the switch after homing?

Just .020" would take care of it.

Thanks
