General Mach Discussion / Shuttle pro macros
« on: April 10, 2012, 08:09:06 AM »
Hello everyone. I am using a shuttle pro v2 to control mach3. I am using hossmachine auto tool probing screen (I like it very much). I am very green to using vb editor in mach 3. The question is how do I put ( auto tool probe ) buttons -Z, inside and outside buttons on the pro remote. I have tried and still no luck. If some send me write one for one button, I can do the other remaining buttons. Or if some could write it so i can enter when it needs to be.
Thanks for help.

I have a question? Is it possible to control 2 cnc machines from 1 pc? Not at the same time. Do I create two separate profiles for each machine? Thanks

General Mach Discussion / mach3 spindle stops using d2nc
« on: November 08, 2011, 04:14:06 PM »
I am using D2nc cam program ( easy to use pgm ). The problem is the code is generated and the spindle gets a command to stop. There is no M code on that g code line. Is there an error in D2nc or is there a setting in Mach3 that i have enabled? Thank you

General Mach Discussion / Stepper motor with ball screws
« on: June 04, 2011, 09:54:37 AM »
Hi everyone!
Is this calculation correct? I have just finished my mini mill cnc conversion with Mach 3 software. The stepper motor is a Nema 23 with 311 oz. with a driver board set to 10 micro steps.
The stepper cal is 2000, the velocity set to 600, what should the step and dir pulse be? The drive systems is belt drive (due to space limits ), the motor has a 16 teeth gear. the ball screw has 32 teeth gear. The ball screw is a Nook .631 with a .200 lead (single start). Should the stepper cal remain at 2000 or changed to 20000?
Thanks to everyone.
