CVI MachStdMill (MSM) / Not able to edit g-code file
« on: November 01, 2012, 04:22:53 PM »
When trying to edit the current g-code file, I get "ERROR ON LINE 922 INTERNAL ERROR"
Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks in advance

General Mach Discussion / dry run
« on: December 11, 2011, 07:37:15 PM »
Is there a way to "dry run" a program? Meaning run the g codes with the spindle (waterjet water) and coolant (abrasive flow) disabled?
Sometimes we need to trace cut the program once to make sure we have it positioned on the sheet correctly. Also is there a hotkey to turn on the spindle and a hotkey for the coolant? This would be handy for scrap cutting.
Thanks in advance.

General Mach Discussion / Feedhold
« on: May 19, 2011, 06:06:04 PM »
When I feedhold on my waterjet gantry, the Gecko's (g320's) will fault out. Usually one or sometimes both. Are the ramp settings on the motors set too aggressively, or is it something else? Thanks in advance

General Mach Discussion / Waterjet on/off
« on: January 05, 2011, 06:54:05 PM »
I am configuring Mach3 for a waterjet. I need to execute a sequence for on and off.
On:
M3 (water on)
G4 Pxx (delay to create vacuum in abrasive line)
M8 (abrasive on)

Off:
M9 (abrasive off)
G4 Pxx (delay to clear abrasive line)
M5 (water off)

My question is:
How can I combine these into a Macro?
Maybe a custom M code that executes the above?
Thanks

Is the parallel port accessible for I/O (mpg's and etc) when using the Galil plugin?
