General Mach Discussion / Need Help in Port configuaration

Hi All,

I am using MACH3 to control a two axis lath.

I don't have a inbuilt Parellel port in the PC so i am using a PCI card for the Parellel port.

When i installed this PCI card and connected to the external hard ware all the outputs are giving 4.8V irrespective of the O/P in MACH3 On or off. also all the input are high irrespective of the inputs.

The port number the parallel port is LPT1, and in the Ports and Pins i have configured the port#1 address as 0x378.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem.

Galil / Spindle Basic Setup

Hi all,

I am facing trouble in displaying the speed of the Spindle in MACH3,

I have connected a  encoder for the Spindle, and Assigned the Z axis for the Axis S in Galil Configuration and checked the Spindle has encoder Check box still the DRO is not displaying the actual speed of the spindle.

What could be the Problem?

Galil / Problem in Motor Tuning

Hi all,

I am trying to change the value of step per in the motor tuning, when i changed the value of step per to any value the Graph disappears and the velocity will become ZERO. and i am not able to enter the velocity the velocity will become ZERO even if  enter the new velocity value.

Any solutions?

Galil / Homing Problem

HI All,

I am using MACH3 software for a turning application with Galil DMC 2133, i could operate the machine fine in all aspects. but i am facing problem in homing.

When i give home command from Galil by using Galil command homing is working fine, but when i give command from the MACH3 the Home limit has no effect the motor continues to jog even after Home limit till it reach the end Limit.

Do any one have solution for this.

I need to use remote push buttons for galil for the operators convenience like start, stop, spindle on, can any one guide me how to do this with Mach3 and Galil.

Galil / Spindle Control Through Galil Digital Output

I am using a Galil DMC2123 for a turning application with Mach3, here i am using an induction motor for the spindle with encoder mounted on the shaft, i wish to switch on and switch off the Spindle through Galil Digital Output.

Can anyone help me doing this.
