General Mach Discussion / tool offsets to run gang tooling to use mill as lathe

I have Mach3. I would like to have the same setup as is shown in this video.

He wrote that he is using the turning screenset and he wrote a custom tool change macro that applies a work offset for the appropriate tool.

I am trying to figure out how and where to input the tool offsets in Mach3 to accomplish this.

I learned an aweful lot about how to set up offsets in this video:

The 2nd video above uses a different controller than Mach3 but there's got to be a similar way to do this in Mach3 as well I just have no idea where to start.

LazyTurn / use mill as a lathe with Lazyturn

Does anyone have any info on how to use lazyturn to use a mill as a lathe, particularly to setup locations of different tools on the bed?
I have a taig mill running mach3. Have been wanting to do this for a few years now. maybe it's time! thanks fellas

General Mach Discussion / How to slow down rapid movement for manual operation

I have a Taig mill and always use gcode. However, I'd like to be able to slow down the rapid movements so I can use it "manually" using keyboard.
Its a pain to write code just to do simple operations and machine moves too fast. Tried going into settings and override but that didn't work.
Anybody done this before and can point me in the right direction? Have done online searches and came up with nothing helpful.

I have a taig mill and this is exactly what I've been wanting to do.

I have no idea how the software "knows" where the tooling is and how this will tie into lathe toolpath software.

Having issues homing maxnc15cl2 with mach 3. Thanks to the help I've received, I've finally gotten the machine to move. I'm running mach 3 demo version on XP. I was told to install an xml file made for maxnc and it worked. I opened a small sample g code file that came with the original maxnc software. The machine moved a little and the spindle turned on and stayed on until it ran thru the gcode file. I tried to home it in mach3 but am doing something wrong. Also there is the issue of two of the axis not moving, just the one and the spindle powering on. In mach 3 the part is shown in the display in the upper right on the screen and I can see it running through the gcode lines and the corresponding display of the part is moving as well but machine is not.

General Mach Discussion / maxnc driven by mach III

I have a 15cl2 and I can't locate my floppy disks supplied with it. They appear to be out of business so I've been looking for an alternative software to drive the machine.
My question is: Do I still need my floppies or will Mach3 take the place of them?
It also seems mach 3 has additional features that the maxnc software did not have.
