LazyCam (Beta) / Need Help - Lead Ins with Circles? (.dxf included)
« on: December 15, 2010, 01:48:35 PM »
I am new to LazyCAM and could use some much needed advice!

My setup:

  • AutoCAD 2010
  • LazyCAM
  • Mach3 CNC
  • PAEI Plasma Table

So I am creating an ACAD .dwg of the piece I would like cut, saving that down as a R12/2000 .dxf, importing it into LazyCAM, but here is where my delimma begins....

I have 768 circles needing to be cut... 640 of them 6mm (dia) and 128 of them 3mm (dia). I need the circles to be cut from the center (or lead in position) out to the edge of the circle, then complete the circle.

I have tried the lead in settings on the given layer (after seperating out all the circles) only to have it only do one of the circles, and even then it wants to cut the circle first then the lead in (by entity discription).

I have tried drawing lines from center to the circle in ACAD and import into LazyCAM and it wants to cut the circle first, line second.

Does anyone have any advise???

Any help would be hugely appreciated!!!

I have attached the .dxf file for anyone wanting to see what I am talking about.
