General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 slowing down
« on: April 25, 2011, 05:53:00 AM »
Hello all i do hope someone can help me on this problem i have only just started having

I have recently made my self a form of workbench to house my cnc router on the top of it and placed my PC and my stepper motor drivers and power supply below on a shelf
So I can slide a clear Perspex door across to stop dirt from entering now since I have made this and placed all my equipment in it my PC starts up fine and when I start my mach 3 everything is great but as soon as I turn on the steppers my PC slows right down as if a program is taking up all the bandwidth
My mouse moves very very slowly across the screen. Is there any idea that you can think of which will cause such a problem.
I have looked in the windows task manager and the only program I have running is mach 3 which is only a few percentage of my total bandwidth

Thankyou
ps i am running xp mach3 cut 2d and nothing elase

General Mach Discussion / Mirror image
« on: January 25, 2011, 10:30:47 AM »
Hello everyone im back with another daft question from a newbie. When i load my gcode of a word say TEXT for example when mach3 cuts it out it is in mirror image once the cutting or engraving has been done is there any where in mach3 to change it to normal cutting.Im not to bothered if i was to cut out a letter as i can turn the mdf over but if i was to engrave a name then its the wrong way.i use Vectric 2d to produce my lettering and use its gcode for my mach3 to cut it out.
Any help will be greatly received and put to good use.Thankyou
