General Mach Discussion / Incorrect Router Repositioning
« on: June 28, 2011, 02:44:49 PM »
I'm new at this, so I hope someone can help. I'm trying to cut the simplest of cuts and can't imagine what is going wrong. The cuts are two concentric circles. Each cuts perfectly round and to size, but off center. A 3" circle inside a 5" circle winds up with one side of the  3" 1/4" from the 5". Cutting round and to size seems to say the motor travel settings are correct. I also tried pocketing a simple circle. Finishing its first pass, the cutter repositioned off center, lowered, and began its second cut. The cutting path on screen is showing up correctly in each case. Thanks, Jeff

General Mach Discussion / Toolpath not showing
« on: June 11, 2011, 10:25:05 AM »
I'm running CamBam and exporting to Mach3 2010 Screenset in the .nc format. When I load the Gcode, the toolpath does not show. Loading, as an example, the Roadrunner file, it does show and runs nornally. What am I missing? Thanks, Jeff

General Mach Discussion / CamBam Gcode problems
« on: September 15, 2010, 12:17:51 PM »
This is my first post, so please excuse any errors I might be making. My problem is in the use of CamBam's Gcode in Mach 3. The Gcode is running, but the toolpath window does not show the toolpath itself. Loading the famous Roadrunner or any other .tap file, there seems to be no problem. Incidentally, loading a new .tap Gcode overwrites the old, but this is not so with the .nc files. Only exiting the software and reexecuting will allow loading of new Gcode. As a newbie, I would appreciate any help and comments. Thanks, Jeff
