Galil / unexplained stop during program

ok i have everything running pretty good except the machine will just hang .....randomly during a program.
i have added some debounce and no improvement.
i do not see any triggers from limits occuring, or any errors that are present
the drivers are all still energized when it stops
the spindle continues to turn, its the motion that stops at random line numbers during the program

can the galil card stop motion because of an error. if so can i poll the gaglilcard to find stop codes or history??

1 in 10 times the program will run completely with all the same settings

i have turned all the brains off and tried, i have no custom macros

the mach history is empty

im open to any ideas, ....please...

Galil / dro error after movement

i have mach3 with the galil plugin running, and am having problems tweaking the movement of the table.
if i command x3 from x0 the x dro will read something like 2.994. its random and not far off but annoying.
i thought that mach would move until the dro exactly got where its supposed to be...

not really sure how to tackle this..

macro that might be able to be modified to operate a bridgeport rotary style toolchanger??

Have electronics onboard to allow me to hook up directly to mach. I don't know enough about them
To make an intelligant decision.

Galil / removing the print driver

While i have the galil plugin installed, should I remove the print driver.
If so how would I remove it?

Galil / mpg rate selection

has anyone ran across the situation where the mpg works well, but no change is noticed when selecting the different rates. with exception to the .0001 when the steps actually
become almost right on.. but no difference between .1 and .001........

Galil / help making a brain

After reading about the brains and logic programming, i think i know basically how they work.
can someone walk me through a simple one.
i'd like to couple the enable z output to the output number 8 (pin 32) on the icm-2900
i need the output #8 (pin32) to go high when z-enable is high.
i have a Z lock that needs to clamp (unerergized) when the z driver is offline.

Galil / Different i/o's at the same time

Does anyone know if the mach software will allow me to use the galil plugin, the printer port i/o and a tcp modbus at the same time??
i was going to get a few outputs on the printer port just to get some functionality, then add either a pci or modbus i/o controller for tool change and other
functions.

Galil / estop does not stop mpg movement

i've got my machine moving and started hooking up a pendant mounted estop button. its configured and can be seen in the
diagnostic screen. when activated the estop will announce the status as estop but the mpg will still jog the machine.
i would think all motion should halt.
any ideas??

Galil / camsoft conversion

Hi All, a little introduction.
my name is Steve and i'm a recovering camsoft user............



I've been using Mach3 on my Small mill for two years and its worked perfectly..........I dont know why i decided to use camsoft when i converted a bridgeport 412. needless to say it was
not a process id repeat.. it works ,  just not as smoothly as id like and theres too many "things i have to live with" with the code i developed.
  long story short i want to convert my machine to use the mach3 platform.
   i have the galil 1842, with a contec pio16 I\O board hooked to a opti relay board.
   i have just got the machine to communicate to the board and with smart term and mach3.
   i have so many questions, nut reading through the archives has been helpful.. to keep the threads on topic ill try to break them up and thanks for all your help...(in Advance))


   can mach 3 use the external I\O board (contec PIO16/16T PCI) to expand the capabilities???
