Galil / W Axis
« on: October 05, 2009, 02:36:24 PM »
We are using the W axis, mapped to F axis on the Galil, to move the cross rail on a planner mill. It jogs fine but Mach3 does not respond to a W move in MDI or from a program line. I have tried both W and C before the coordinate value. I tested with the printer port and Mach3 does respond.

Here are some pictures of the machine.

Galil / Galil OE function
« on: August 17, 2009, 08:26:42 AM »
I would like to use the Galil OE (Off-on-Error) function with the Mach3 Plugin. In Smart Terminal I enabled the axis with the OE command, set error limits with the ER command and did a BN to the Galil memory. It does stop motion when the limit is exceeded but I have no indication in Mach3 what happened other than the stopped motion. Is there a way for the Galil to notify Mach3 in this situation.

One more question, is there a way to get the TE information from the Data Record into a Mach3 OEMDRO?

It would be nice if the OE function was part of the Plugin. It can really protect your system against a crapped out servo drive or motor!

Thanks for the updated Plugin, it made a big difference on my setup!

Forum suggestions and report forum problems. / Galil

It would be nice to have a Galil area under the third party software and hardware section. The Galil post are spread out all over and hard to follow.

Galil / Galil + MPG

What choices are there for a handwheel on a Galil system?

Extra axis on the Galil, ModIO or basic input?

Thanks,

Modbus / ModIO Power In

Is it OK to bypass the regulator on the ModIO and supply 5 volts regulated to the terminals ( Labeled 5 volt and ground.)?

Thanks,

What is the call for OEM Triggers?
I tried Get OEMTrigger (4) with no luck.

VB and the development of wizards / External LED's
« on: January 05, 2007, 04:32:33 PM »
I am trying to interface some panel indicators. I thought I had it with this line running in the macropump:

If GetLED (4) Then ActivateSignal (OUTPUT10) Else DeActivateSignal (OUTPUT10) 'Cycle Start

So I added more like this:

If GetLED (4) Then ActivateSignal (OUTPUT10) Else DeActivateSignal (OUTPUT10) 'Cycle Start
If GetLED (5) Then ActivateSignal (OUTPUT11) Else DeActivateSignal (OUTPUT11) 'Feed Hold
If GetLED (57) Then ActivateSignal (OUTPUT12) Else DeActivateSignal(OUTPUT12) 'MPG

The fist line is the only one that works. I must be missing something, or is there a better way of doing this?

Modbus / Mach 3 ModIO plug in
« on: December 31, 2006, 09:05:07 AM »
Just mounted all my components in my pendant! Still need to cut out for a LCD lens and wire.

I heard mention of a Mach 3 ModIO plug in over @ the Zone and was wondering of the details of such.

I made some extra boards if anybody is interested.

$79usd board with 7407 buffers and 4n25 optos.(24v input standard)
Solid state relay outputs cost more but can turn on one LARGE contactor.

(Price was changed from $69 to $79 in late 2008 when more boards were made and the production price had increased.)

Thanks,
Darek
