Brains Development / Ethernet connection for Mach3
« on: November 10, 2011, 03:35:07 AM »
Is there a development going on to offer Ethernet type of connection with Mach3, which would offer longer cables connecting the servo motors and faster connection for many axis, spindle motors,  including limit switches and and other sensors and outputs?

General Mach Discussion / jerky movement -
« on: May 09, 2007, 05:58:28 AM »
greeting
Recently I got another PC to tun my prototype gantry machine.
This is P4/2.6Ghz with XPpro and thought of trying the latest Mach3-V2 on this.

Machine is was running well with Mach3 V1.7
on eiher old pc - P3 800Mhz under W2000
or from notebook P4 3GHz with Xp-pro Windows.

I have the same setting in all PC's, buit with new Mach3 V2
I am getting jerky motion on all axis, independent of what speed
I am running.

I went throught the steps of optimisation of XP, but no difference.

Wonder if anyone may have similar experience.

Cheers

General Mach Discussion / CPI-LPT plug-in cards
« on: January 22, 2007, 04:56:11 AM »
Greeting, not that experienced with forum type of discussion. My problem is:-
The old PC had LPT1 on board and another ISO card for LPT2 which worked fine
until memory plaid up, machine started to make errors.
Since it was old PIII-750Mhz, it was time to update.

I been trying to setup new PC which has PCI cards for second & third LPT ports.
Tried few of them, Non of them work. On board LPT1 port is fine but the add-on cards are not working.

The ususal address on one PCI card for LPT2 is C800 and LPT3 is D000,
on another card it has has LPT2 - ECD8 and LPT3 - ECF8.

Has anyone any thoughts what could be wrong?

Thanks
Michael Haber
