Is there a easy way of printing and or saving the tool table to a text file in Mach3?

HiCON Motion Controller / Skipping G Code Moves
« on: March 31, 2018, 02:18:32 PM »
I am having a issue with Mach4 is skipping over some G Code moves on files that work perfectly in Mach3, I am using the HiCON controller. Another member informed me he encountered simular  problem and corrected it by updating the firmware in the HiCON control, so I updated the firmware and now I cannot arm the HiCON, in Mach4 message screen getting: [ Error Unable to ARM Drive (code 355) ].  Anyone have ideas on how to get the control to arm?? Tried to go back to previous firmware but still cannot arm the HiCON. Did not have any problems with arming the HiCON before the firmware update.

How do I set up a Auto Zero button in the latest version of Mach4?
I have tried the scripts from previous posts on this forum, but they bring up errors when I try to run them so I assume something is different in the latest version of Mach4 that does not allow auto zero script to work from the older version. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

HiCON Motion Controller / No motor movement with Mach4
« on: March 08, 2018, 05:30:45 PM »
I have switched from Mach3 to Mach4 using a HiCON Integra, and I cannot get motor movement from Mach4, took a bit of head scratching to set the tuning page for the motors and map axis correctly in Mach4 but I have only able to get motor movement using the test motion feature in the HiCON plugin.

I just purchased the HiCON thinking of using it with Mach3 but Vital Systems informed me it was designed to work with the Mach4 platform not M3 which is the reason for the switch from Mach3 to Mach4

Not sure what I am missing between the HiCON and Mach4.

Mach4 General Discussion / Motor Configuration Problem
« on: March 07, 2018, 10:19:49 PM »
Fresh install of Mach4 and I am not able to enter any motor tuning info into the Counts per Unit, Velocity, Acceleration, G Force, Backlash, Reverse, Enable Delay, boxes as they are all greyed out for all motors selected on the Motor Config page, not able to config any of the motors?

On the axis mapping page I am only able to choose motor6 or motor7 for a slave motor on the drop down menu, not able to enter any other motor as a slave??  I want to set motor5 as a slave motor.

Has anyone come across these issues ?

Can someone point me in the right direction to write a proper Mach3 macro that can be called up in the G code that will move the Z axis to Safe Z pos.
Thanks

CS-Lab / CSMIO/IP-S Problems
« on: December 08, 2013, 05:25:37 PM »
Having the following problems with the CS Labs CSMIO/IP-S, if anyone has any ideas how to cure the following issues it would be greatly appreciated

1) Keep getting a "run as administrator mode" nag screen when starting Mach3, I am not able to just start the computer up and have it boot and start Mach automatically as it now hangs on the "run as administrator mode" nag screen, I have set win xp to run in administrator mode but still get the nag screen when starting Mach

2) Not able to get the CS Labs MPG resolution down to .0001"

3) When the servo alarm is tripped the CS Labs plugin will just give an generic fault line saying an E Stop requested due to an servo axis alarm, but it will not indicate which axis created the servo alarm.

CS-Lab / CSMIO/IP-S Closed Loop?
« on: June 15, 2013, 12:26:40 AM »
Will the CSMIO/IP-S operate in closed loop mode? The CS website sort of leads one on to think it is a closed loop control, but I do not see how it can be by looking the user manual, I don't see any connection for encoder feedback on the control in the user manual.

SmoothStepper USB / Smoothstepper step problem
« on: January 11, 2010, 07:54:21 PM »
I have a smoothstepper on a large mill with stepper drives and what ever code that is being run through the smoothstepper it will not make the whole stepping distance ie: if the code is X-1.250, Y1.250, Z-.750 the actual distance the smoothstepper will make is X-1.2499, Y1.2502, Z-.7499. Can anyone explain why this happens and what the fix is? If I run the machine thru a parallel port this does not happen. The drives are being run in step and direction mode. I have used a dial gauge on the axis and it confirms the over travel and under travel with the smoothstepper.
