Hi,

I have an output that is working with pushbutton latching when pressed. That is working fine. push button and the poutput comes on. {Push again and output goes off. that is all working.

That output raises the dust collector shoe.

The first thing my ATC does is raise the dust shoe.  If I delete the macropump it works in the atc. If I use the macropump macro what happens is the macropump is checking the input, and when the atc fires the output the macro turns it off right away.

I see this working the way I programmed it which is wrong. IS there a way to check if the atc macro is running so I can add it to the macropump as a way for it to bypass shutting it dpown again?

Something like if input1 isactive and atcmacro not running fire output.

General Mach Discussion / Sharing home limit switches not working
« on: September 08, 2020, 07:11:34 AM »
I have everything working except homing. I am sharing home and limit switch.
If I turn off limit switch it homes properly. As soon as I enable the sharing home/limit it throws limit switch error.
I tried debouncing to no prevail.
I put an arduino between the prox switch and input to the bob so I know no debounce is happening. I did this for testing.
It is still causing the issue. I have home switch and two limit switches on the machine but I have a retrofit of a commercial machine with only one prox switch per axis, so I need this working.

Would going to Mach4 fix this issue? Mach 3 is not ignoring the limit switch while homing. Is there anything I need to do besides sharing the pins in "ports and pins"?

I am new to mach3. I come from the other side......

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 port3 no output?
« on: September 23, 2013, 12:00:29 PM »
IS it true that you cannot have outputs if you are using port3?

Smoothstepper port1: G540 with three axis and one slave. port2: 4th axis (A) and pport3: have a C22 connected with a mpg2, this does not work after countless hours trying in mach3.

I did find  config check that says you have outputs on port 3 which is not supported or some similar message.

Thanks,

Bob

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 changing settings
« on: October 23, 2012, 03:26:14 PM »
Mach3 just started acting weird. I believe it is Mach3. When I hit cycle start, the Z goes up and doesn't stop until it hits the limits.

Also no matter what I try for jogging, when ever I jog left or right or up it goes to 130 and doesn't change.

Weird behaviour. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bob

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 ignoring safe Z
« on: September 04, 2012, 10:41:31 AM »
Hi guys,

I have been using Mach3 for over a year and all of a sudden, it is ignoring the safe Z. Is the safe Z across the board in all modes? IT is set for .5, and it basically ignores it and goes from 0 across the part to the cut start position.

Any ideas? I am pretty sure it is something I or my collegue has done but I cannot find it.

Thanks n advance,

Bob

General Mach Discussion / run from here again
« on: February 23, 2010, 08:28:51 PM »
Hi all,

again, I have to run in the middle of the file. I put in the correct mach# and hit enter. It goes to that ;line. 476473, when I hit run from here, a window pops up and says premove. I hit ok and it goes to line 372661. What gives? Where did that line # come from? What gives?

thanks,

General Mach Discussion / Start from specific line within gcode
« on: February 22, 2010, 03:52:39 PM »
Hi all,

I have a 949,238 line gcode file. I want to start from line 894028. First oif all, it takes forever to get to it via mouse. Is there an easier way? I put in the line number and hit run from here and it goes to ;line N529560 and the LINE  field shows 264730.

How can I simply start the machine from a certain line? I have a piece of stock on the table and I cannot shutdown the machine until I run this or else I will lose the piece.

Thanks,

General Mach Discussion / Problem, Mach3 or computer???
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:32:23 AM »
Hi all,

I was cutting a guitar body out of a test blank of pine when I turned the blank over after cutting the back, it was running the contour cleanup and it turned right and plowed into the body ruining my day and the blank.

I checked the gcode and didn't see anything wrong. So I wnet over that spot cutting air and it didn't do it. The only error I saw in Mach was the feed rate red light was blinking. It stopped moving. The .5 endmill was about 1.5" down when it happened.

I have no idea how to troubleshoot this, other than throw another blank on there and let er rip again.

Any ideas?

Here it is cutting the back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra4amnO6L8g

General Mach Discussion / jogging off limits not working for me.
« on: September 07, 2009, 03:18:16 PM »
Hi,

I have connected all limit switches in series with e-stop. I have Automatic overide on and when I hit a limit, I cannot jog off the limit.

I have all limits energizing a relay back at the control. (G540) then locally wiring into e-stop. The limits are working and dropping the relays. I have no noise issues. I never get an e-stop until I hit my E-stop button or limit switches.

Any ideas?

I am still using trial Mach3. Is this the issue? I plan on buying Mach3 once I figure I can get everything working on my machine.

Thanks,

Bob
