If I mill a square for example, some corners are rounded, some are sharp or "pointy".

I added a G64 to the code a while back to stop the pauses on directional changes, would that have something to do with it?

Other than the G64 I have not added anything to the code.

I am using the free Lcam...

Sometimes I want rounded edges, sometimes sharp, how do I have control over what I get?
(I am NOT rounding any corners in CAD)
Thanks,
Rich

LazyCam (Beta) / Joining Primitives?
« on: July 29, 2009, 03:19:11 PM »
Hello folks.

I have free LCAM.
When I join primitives it doesn't seem to actually change anything....?

I am trying to join chains/entities that do not need to be separate.
I have tried adjusting the optimize/import connection tolerane but the result could be a lot better...

Any advice?
(can I even do that in FREE LCAM?)

Thanks,
Rich

General Mach Discussion / Random -Z (going down WAY too far!!!)
« on: July 02, 2009, 07:26:59 PM »
So, twice just now my router decided to ignore the g-code setting for the -Z.

G-code reads -Z0.1300

I had to kill the run because it was just ploughing straight down regardless and was about to destroy my machine ;(

I have NO clue what this is....

Help please!!

Thanks.

Rich

LazyCam (Beta) / LazyCam Pro for offsetting and layers?
« on: June 21, 2009, 07:00:34 PM »
I am sure this must be covered elsewhere but I cannot find a clear answer.

I need to set the tool offset (to allow for bit size and inside/outside cutting) and I also want to do layers (to cut at different depths)

I have the FREE LC version which lets me change the settings described above but the final cut stays the same.

Do I need PRO?

Thanks in advance, Rich
