General Mach Discussion / simplify screen
« on: February 28, 2011, 08:11:12 PM »
Hello,
Can anyone here tell me what's going on:
I just finished reloading Mach3 software after loosing my hard drive, I'm running a taig cnc mill using Mach3 in Windows XP and while I'm exploring the software I mouse clicked on the Simplify Screen box located in the lower left hand side of the main screen just below the History and Clear boxes, Big mistake!! Now how do I return to the main screen from there? Mouse clicking the Simplify Screen box took me to a blank screen. I checked out all the drop down boxes in that blank screen for File, Config, Function Cfg's, View, Wizards and so on but don't see any links or ways to go back to the main screen. What's up with that? Any Help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Stepper Motors Heating Up
« on: September 03, 2009, 12:53:21 AM »
Hello Everyone,

We've had our MicroMill DSLS 3000 System with Mach 3 for a couple of months now and I was wondering if someone could come up with a solution to prevent the stepper motors from heating up while the controller is on and not running a program?

After running a program we have to shut off the controller otherwise the steppers motors heat up (actually get quite hot in not too long of a time) which is probably because the stepper motors are in a holding position? Is there a M or Gcode command that I could place at the end of the program to release this holding torque and thus prevent the over heating problem?

I'm just assuming that's what causing the overheating of the stepper motors so please correct me if I'm wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

General Mach Discussion / X Y axis is opposite
« on: May 15, 2009, 08:27:10 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I just loaded my Mach3 software and it seems to be working OK except for when I want to Jog the X and X stepper motors. When I use the arrows in the Jog Screen they move opposite to the direction indicated. They are also opposite when using the arrow keys on the PC's keyboard. When I use the left arrow key for the X axis you'd expect the vice to move left but it moves right instead. I can't seem to find anywhere in the program where I can correct this abnormality. I'd really appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

Thanks
jessey
