CS-Lab / Spindel Problems with IP-S and Enc.Module, false RPM
« on: August 03, 2017, 11:00:53 AM »
Hello,
i habe a little bit trouble with my new Configuration on my Mill (Retrofit OKK PCV40):
It is an IP-S, an Enc. Module and an MPG module, the spindle control runs via a frequency converter (+ -10V) and a spindle encoder is also installed. So it works, but,
I have the following problem: When I type a spindle speed Commando, e.g. M3S1000, the spindle  accelerated up to 1040 rpm. The rpm display in Mach3 shows the actual speed exactly (1040rpm), the Spindel speed Display shows 1000,  but it is not down-regulated to 1000rpm. (2000rpm typed=2080rpm real). The VFD shows also 1040rpm (that correct) But its 4% too high. (No Override or so)
It should nevertheless with the Enc. Module a closed loop control of the spindle may be possible, or am I wrong? i will tapping threads... >:(
What do I need to change for settings? In Spindle setup i hooked "Use Spindle Feedback in sync Mode" and the other things from IP-S manual...
(Sorry for the poor Translate, i am in Germany)
Best regards

CS-Lab / Limit Values for Tapping with CSMIO IP-S
« on: June 13, 2017, 03:27:23 AM »
Hello,
As first I would like to apologize for my bad English - I come from Germany.
My problem: I have an OKK PCV40 (Vertical Machining Center with 30 Tools ), the plan is a retrofit on Mach3 and CSMIO IP-S with MPG module and ENC module to replace the Fanuc AC motors I will with Step/DirD Axe servo controls.
My question, I have found since nowhere answer:
What are the limits for rigid tapping? It is a Fanuc 10krpm Spindle Motor, 7kva, AC motor with Encoder Feedback, Direct In Line mounted, this I will drive with a VCD with 0-10V.
The thread cutting is an unconditional must, I cut about 10,000 M3 threads a month. So far I have drilled with 6krpm and formed with 2.500rpm, I get that with CSMIO? Or, Where are the limits? I have seen the YT video of Hood, but there is relatively slow (300rpm?) Cutting, which is too slow for me. On the side of CS I find no limit values.
Best regards from Germany,
Tom

FAQs / OEM Code for "Shift" Key for Keyboard searching
« on: September 09, 2015, 01:35:31 PM »
Hello,
at first, sorry for my bad English.
My Problem:
I have Buttons for Jog in X+Z (lathe).
When I went in the Slow Jog mode, I can drive by Shift key on the keyboard + the X/Z buttons to go in rapid traverse. This works fine. But now I want to present for this function a button,(instead of the keyboard stroke "Shift"). Now I need the OEM code for this "Shift" keyboard function, I have already tried everything, without result.
Who can help me?
Best regards from Germany,
Tom

Hello,
I've got a strange error (Mach3Turn): After upgrading from very old (but with function, R2.63) to newer software (3.43.057), the Spindle speed display on the screen does not work anymore, but in the Diagnostics menu the index pulse is shown! Ports + pins are correct. Whats this? After back-downgrading on R2.63 is the speed indicated correctly. Hm. Measurement the Signal with a DSO shows a perfectly Signal.
I've used another PC, exactly the same problem.
If I use testwise an ESS (3.043.066) and the same settings, the speed will shown correctly with the new software, but not on the LPT...
Can anybody help?
Best regard,
TomS

P.S.:
What is the best Version for Turning/Threading (without ESS)?
I think Hood wrote 3.043.057?

Is it possible to automatically using the S word to switch gears in the gearbox? So, by pre-selection on a table (rpm/gear1-x) , then the assignment over S********* at the NC Program. It would be great if someone could help me there.

« on: March 09, 2013, 10:50:57 AM »
Hello,
at many posts there are recommended Version 057 for lathe, but this will not with ESS, if i use the ESS, it is nessesary to use upper 062.
What is a good working version with ESS and lathe?
Best regards,
