General Mach Discussion / servo control

All hardware and software installed, but no servo control from Mach3 to my DSLS 3000. I then enabled plug and play detection on the LPT1 but they only  "come to attention" and hold position. Tnere is no conflict on this port #1.  Any help appreciated, Thanks! PS... OS is XP Home
