I can't believe there is no official Mastercam Post. It's ridiculous, really!
I used the one that is floating around but it has some problems.

FAQs / X & Y tool offsets ???

I have a router with 4 heads and 2 drill spindles.
Each router head is 12" apart. I have been coding in the offset for the different heads with mastercam.
It's a pain in the neck tohave to go in and set that parameter everytime and if you forget well then yyour part gets messed up.

My question is is there away to set an x & Y offset for T2, T3, T4, T5, etc...

I know I can set the Z offset but I need to set the X & Y also. How can I do the in Mach3? I want to be able to do it with work offset 1, G54.

What is the best way to handle switching to the various spindles or piggy back drills?

I made a screen where I have buttons for the outpus so I need to toggle them on and off.

What would be the VB Script for output 1 for example?

dspMC/IP Motion Controller / Going with Machmotion

I decided to buy from Machmotion since I need support and also Vital Systems recommends them, Machmotion, since they are experienced with the controller.

I should have the new controller in a few days.

dspMC/IP Motion Controller / Galil 2133 or DSPMC/IP Motion Controller?

  I need to know what is better suited for running Mach3 the Galil 2133 or DSPMC/IP Motion Controller?

I bought a huge CNC Router on eBay for $999, it is a Shinx vintage 1991, it has an old Epson 286-U computer.



I was told this has analog drivers + - 10 volts.

I was going to buy a used Galil on eBay but I need support so I might buy new either directly for Galil or the DSPMC/IP configured from Machmotion.

The galil setup as I want will run approx $1500 and the Machmotion DSPMC/IP is $2550.

What concerns me is getting trhe Shinx operating correctly with full functionality (raising and lowering the pnuematic actuated spindles and drills).

Camsoft wants $7000 but I will stick with Mach3

General Mach Discussion / Won't load G Code?

  Mach 3 won't load the full G Code sample Cross.tap

Everything was fine I could load the full Cross.tap and then I started setting the homing, table size, etc.. and when I re-gen toolpath not all the G code loads up only a small part of it.

It wont load any G Code generated in V Carve for Mach2/3 Inches, I always get a circle starting at the 0 point.

I want to start cutting but I don't know the problem
