Finished Screens / Another 2010 Screen Question
« on: April 17, 2013, 09:03:34 AM »
I am using 2010 and very satisfied it with it.  But do have a problem that someone may have the solution.  I just completed building a 4th axis and also just got a 3D probe.  The 2010 screen works perfect with my router profile.  I wished to create a two new profiles, one for the 4th axis and one for 3D digitizing.  I cloned the router profile to create each named "4th Axis" and "3D Probe".  When I open Mach using one of the new profiles, all opens fine with the 2010 screen, however the buttons, such as home, reference, buttons on x-y fly-out, etc. do not work.  If I close and reopen Mach in the router profile, all is OK.  What am I missing?

FAQs / What does 'A-Rotations Enabled' mean?
« on: March 11, 2013, 08:29:23 PM »
I'm setting up my 4th axis (rotary).  In the Toolpath Configuration flyout there is a box for A-Roatations Enabled; should this be checked?  What does it do?

General Mach Discussion / Stepper Motor Locks When Using Step Jog
« on: November 18, 2011, 03:31:13 PM »
This is a new one.  I've been using Mach3 for over six years and never had anything close to this happen.  Was running a job (2+ hours into g-code) on CNC router when the "B" motor (slaved to Y) suddenly locked.  After much trouble shooting determined it only occurs when I attempt to jog in step mode.  Jogs normal in continuous mode.  This occurs when using either Shuttle Pro or Tab flyout.  Disabled and removed Shuttle Pro without change.  Any ideas on how to fix?

The problem I am having and can not seem to solve is the the Spindle True readout is not stable.  I am using CNC4PC's C3 Index Pulse card.  When I was using Mach3 VerR3.042.032 everything worked fine.  I could set the rpm with my VFD (using pot) say at 400 rpm, verify with rpm reader, and S True would read 400 rpm and vary only 1 or 2 rpm.  Since I downloaded later versions (currently have VerR3.042.037) the readout is not stable.  For example, at 400 rpm, it will hold 400 for a few seconds, then fluctuate down  (varies each time to different values 360, 375, etc) and then back to 400 rpm.  I've searched thru CNCZone and Mach Forum for threads and also read the document "Threading On The Lathe - Mach3 Turn".

Any suggestions?  Need to cut some threads, however with the readout not stable, don't want to attemp until solve problem.

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 Lathe Wizards
« on: May 11, 2009, 05:57:58 PM »
Just completed my CNC conversion for the Grizzly G0602 lathe and now am starting the learning and fun phase.  I plan to run in the Diameter mode.  My question is:  Do the "Lathe Turning Wizards" by Brian/Kiran output g-code in diameter or radius mode?
