Group,

I am getting the following error:  Mach3 Turn-ATC M6 Error "M6Start unexpected ERROR TRAP!"

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

The ATC works most of the time.. then it gets this error.... then it stops working  via M6 command.
I can move the turret with a  G1 A120 F6000 (For example) from the MDI....

Any ideas are appreciated.

Hi Group,

- Well, in getting my DM-3000 running, I re-installed Mach3-TURN.
- However, the wizards are from Mach3-MILL.

- How do I get the Mach3-TURN Wizards Back into Mach3-TURN?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Group,
- I've looked through the thread and haven't found anything exactly like what I need.
- I purchased a lathe that was already converted to Mach3 CNC.
- The seller is not very helpful, but he did do the conversion.

- The Tool Turret does not have a home switch.  I only use it in a one-direction of rotation mode.
- There are times when Mach3 forgets what position the turret is in (I know-I need to sort that out, and add a home switch..)

- The M6 macro looks pretty standard compared to other M6 ATC Rotating Tool Turret macro's (from what I can tell, anyhow).

- Is there a way that I can tell it what tool position it is on- or set it?

- For instance it "thinks" it is in tool position #1 -- when in reality it is in tool position #4.
- Is there a way to reset it to thinking it is in Tool position #4 ?
    - Somewhere other than in writing it into the M6 macro, and taking it out:      SetCurrentTool( 4 )

Thanks for any help.   I am new to Mach3 programming - but have done a good bit of VB a longggg time ago.

LazyTurn / LazyTurn Question: How do I set the "Stock Diameter" ?
« on: October 02, 2011, 06:53:04 AM »
Just starting to play around with LazyTurn (Thank You Art F. for another great program!)

I decided to make a bullet patter with a 0.125" radius (0.25" dia stock)
When the .dxf file loads in - it assumes a stock diameter of 0.2875..
I want to be able to change that Stock Diameter to say 0.375 (example)
AND
have Lazy turn rough the length of the bullet down (right now it roughs the bullet end only - not the shank portion....

anyone have any advice?

Thanks
Joe

LazyTurn / LazyTurn DXF's
« on: September 23, 2011, 04:02:44 PM »
I haven't fired up my CNC retrofitted Sherline Lathe  (controller and steppers from Xylotex... yah I know, I was young and had a lot to learn)  in a while - so this weekeend is it.

Almost all the G-code that I've run through this lathe has been hand generated - or generated by an earlier version of BobCAD - turn module.

I want to give Lazy Turn a whirl.

>>>> Does Anyone have any DXF files to share (like chess sets, etc.) ?

I'm sure I'll have some questions to post here after this weekend.
