Hello,

I'm working on a custom screen for a project I'm doing.  What I would like to do is have a "keypad" on the mach screen that is made up of buttons. and the buttons when touched would direct input to a DRO .. I know about SetOEMDRO. and that may work but what I am wanting is to have number keys like a number pad and then also have fraction keys... so if I want to input 12.0625 into the DRO I would just hit  button "1" "2" and button "1/16" then "enter".  I know I could do this with a keypad but I would like to not have to select the DRO but rather any time I hit those buttons it inputs what I hit to the DRO

I'm not sure if this is actually possible though using a macro and SetOEMDRO?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 Future...S Curve and Multiple accelerations

Hello, I'm a long time Mach user and have some questions on future versions of Mach and what we might expect to see.
Mach is an awesome program and I love it thats for sure!

First here is a video that has peeked my curiousity about where Mach might be heading some day.

If you watch the video what I find intresting is the way acceleration/decel is handled. What research I've done on this, the router is a Camaster using wincnc controller.
Wincnc has "S curve" I believe. But I dont' think that is the only thing we are seeing in the video. I am not understanding it completely but apparentlly you
can assign more than 1 acceleration setting in the controler. I do not know how exactly this works in the gcode (anyone know?) but find it very intresting. I would love
to have fast acceleration on rapid moves and I love how in the video the router slows down and accelerates around tight curves. I found it very intresting. I am not sure
just how well it would work for 3d files with the settings they are using. It got me thinking about Mach and wondering if we can expect to see S curve some day. More than one accel setting?

I can see how nice this would be on large routers. You would be able to have much faster feed rates and then the router would slow down where the sharp curves are.
I played with the my settings some this weekend and was able to get some pretty nice results slowing accel settings down but then you get into the problem of rounded corners ofcourse and
You also have slower accel on your rapids.

I just found it a very intresting video.
