When I open Mach 3 I am now getting a "parameter is incorrect" message. When I click OK I get a white screen with a menu at the top but no Control screen. When I check the about screen it shows Demo and is no longer my name. I hope I have not lost everything and there is a simple fix to this.

Can someone help me solve this issue. The PC for my machine is not connected to the internet and has been working for many years with no issue.

Where do I start?

Thanks

The machine has worked for years.
Power supply failed so I had my friend (owner of the machine a few years now) replace the power supply and it worked fine then he got his own license and when he installed the latest software using his license the motors will lock up but will not move.
He has been in contact with mach support and has spent many hours with them as well as me (I am 250 miles from him) and we still can't get the motors to move.
The limit switches respond in the diag page so at least part of the system is working.

Here is a look at what was used when the machine was built: http://www.seabreezeparachutes.com/7x13cncproject/casebuild/view.html

The power supply was changed and the machine did run after the change and it still locks up now when the power is turned ON. But there is no motor movement when the DROs move.

Running win XP
32 bit
printer port
Followed and repeated basic setup many times from many videos.
But again no movement from the motors but they do lock up when power is turned on.

Any idea what we are missing?

Thanks in advance!

FAQs / Motors turn with G code but not with keyboard...Help!
« on: December 09, 2018, 05:17:25 PM »
Mach 3 running G code fine but can not jog with the keyboard.

Ports-Pins settings must be right cause the G code will turn the motors.

Keyboard edits code so it must be working right.

The keyboard just aint talking to the motors.

Any ideas??

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Changing DRO readout
« on: November 05, 2006, 03:54:18 PM »
I have moved my controls to the other side of my machine. All movement matches my keyboard arrow keys but when I move to the right the DRO reads lower numbers and not higher numbers.
How can I change this without changing the movement direction?

Thanks,
Troy
