VB and the development of wizards / Macro Parameters
« on: November 22, 2007, 11:20:22 AM »
How do you write a user macro that takes more than 1 parameter on the command line?

I know how to do it with 1 parameter ......Param1 ()......but how do you allow the user to enter 2 or more parameters?

Thanks,
Pat

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / PCNC3 vs. Mach3 Paths
« on: September 22, 2007, 11:48:39 PM »
I am using the PCNC mill with Mach 3 software and just purchase the NFS WIzards.  It won't run properly because it is looking for files in the Mach3 folder and the PCNC uses "PCNC3" insyead of "Mach3" for the folder name.  I have done a psuedo workaround but it is not very clean.

Can you make the program capable of handling the different path .....maybe by allowing it to be entered in the "Initialiazation" file?

Thanks,
Pat

Can the program be written to get my tool diameter automatically from the entries in my Tool Table Data when I type in a tool # in the NFW screen?

I am new to Mach and am trying to figure out how to create/modify wizards. My machine uses Mach2 and the only screen designer I could find to download is the Screen4 program.  I downloaded the program, unzipped it into the Mach2 folder, and am able to open existing wizards from the Addons folders.  When I click any of the command buttons, I get an error saying "Text file for function calls missing...please reinstall".  I am a VB programmer so I am not worried about about being able to write the programs once I figure out how to get the programs working together.  Am I using the wrong screen edit/create program?

Thanks for your help.
