VB and the development of wizards / THCOn () what am I doing wrong?
« on: March 13, 2016, 06:59:11 PM »
Trying to make a simple macro to turn THC on.

Mach3 Version 3.x  Macro Programmers Reference Manual has "THCOn ()" and "THCOff ()" as function calls.

THCOff () works fine

THCOn () comes up with a syntax error

I must be doing something really dumb but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

Version R3.043.062

I use Klaus' Camera Plugin and design screens with MachScreen.  Both great pieces of software.

Fixed permanent camera on a router for origin setup.

I have the following code on button to call the page that I use with the camera,

DoOEMButton (3)           'this calls the page
SetUserLED (1103,0)      'turn 1103 off which every other page turns on (1103 exits plugin)
Sleep 200                     'needs this delay for plugin to start reliably
SetUserLED (1102,1)      'this starts the camera plugin

This all works like it should.  Goes to page 3 and starts the camera plugin.  But I would like it to return focus to Mach3.

Presently one click sends me to the right page and starts the plugin, but leaves focus with the plugin.  Which means I can not jog with a pendant until another click on Mach3 screen returns focus.

Is there a line I can add to return focus to Mach3?

Thanks,

Greg

General Mach Discussion / Windows 7 64 bit advise needed
« on: August 09, 2010, 04:14:41 AM »
I have Mach running on Windows 7 64 bit.

This is NOT with the PP.  SmoothStepper is taking care of the motion control.  PP driver is not installed.

My problem is with the VB editor.  It will not run.

Any ideas?  Anyone else running it sucessfully on 64 bit?

NC Pod / Firmware installer
« on: June 07, 2010, 08:04:35 PM »
There is a firmware installer to load the Mach compatible firmware on the NCpod website.

Does anybody know if there is there a similar installer to reapply the "NCpod Basic Control Panel" firmware?

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Anyone running a CNCshark with Mach3?

Anyone running a CNCshark with Mach3?

I believe it is using an NCpod which should be no problem to run with Mach.

Would it be possible to allow zero history depth?

When using "Show overlaying elements for selection" and selecting "none" the program is crashing.

Am I doing something wrong?

Been playing around with my rotary axis lately.

Thought I would go one step further and try something extra today.

Along the lines of a coffee table leg.

Clip art set into the square section. Done in the rotary in indexer mode.  Modelled in Aspire.

Not perfect, but not too bad for a first try.  :)

Machscreen Screen Designer / Remember window positions?
« on: November 03, 2009, 05:32:07 PM »
Klaus

I wondered if it would be difficult to have MachScreen remember its screen position and window size between sessions.

Every time I open it I must drag the Properties panel off where it sits obscuring the main screen.

Also I like to have a little black space around my screen so that I know I am seeing it all.  So I drag the window a little larger. Just a personal preference.

Love your editor.

For as long as I have been doing 4th or rotary axis work on my router I have believed that Mach can
only represent A axis correctly in the toolpath window.  Not B.

It occurred to me that before I start advising others that this is the case, I had better check that I am not mistaken and just doing something stupid.

So my question to the experienced 4th axis users.  Can the toolpath window represent B axis toolpaths correctly or not?
