HiCON Motion Controller / HiCON integration - Kuhlmann mill/engraver

Am I the early bird again as there seems to be not much discussion on HiCON board?
Maybe integration with HiCON has been so easy for other people too - there's not much to ask?

Anyhow I'll share a few words about this control upgrade case I made recently as it was the easiest case I've had thus the control was new to me. VitalSystems I've known for years and our first dspMC/IP has been running in production for several thousand of hours now.

In next to the case itself.

I need to use different accelerations during one work. Is the 'motor tuning' the only way?

I saw a macro made for setting motor tuning parameters in G-code. This is the 'state of the art' in setting acceleration?

General Mach Discussion / M-command speed and delays

Hello!

This is a topic discussed earlier too but I still have the problem that processing M03 M05 commands in Mach3 takes too much time ie. ca 150 ms each.
If you use DoSpin commands inside your M's the time is ca 300 ms and it's not constant delay either. I'm using direct output commands in M-commands - a bit faster.

Any news of this?

I have noted the command pair
M3
M5
takes ca. 600 ms to execute if it controls 'DoSpin CW' 'DoSpin Stop'
and ca. 300 ms if is says 'ActivateSignal (7)' 'DeActivateSignal(7)'
I tested this with printer port mode and with DSPmc and the delay seems to be equal ie. the delay comes from Mach3.

Is there any possibility to make this delay smaller or some other way to give out faster commands from Mach3 R2.63 /XP 1.6G ?
