General Mach Discussion / Re: How to post code in Write wizard?
« on: January 20, 2008, 03:23:50 PM »
Richard,
I just hit the Write button and wait a second and it posts the code.
RC
At times, click write.. then click return to Mach3.

Thanks for that, I tried it but nothing happens. I tried a few other wizards, they all seem to work OK.
I must be missing something. I REALLY WISH there were simple help files for these things!

General Mach Discussion / How to post code in Write wizard?

There seems to be no 'post code and exit' button in the 'Write' wizard screen.
So how do I get the code after I have entered then text and parameters?
Thanks

LazyCam (Beta) / LazyCam 3 Help
« on: December 26, 2007, 05:01:17 PM »
I've just bought a Mach3 license and downloaded LazyCam 3. I watched the video 'LazyCam 3' and was optimistic because I understood most of it! The downloaded Lazycam 3 window looks nothing like the window shown in the video, and I just can't make out how to use it. I have a drawing (dxf) which I can load as a complete unit or in sections ( outline shape, holes etc), I either want to split the whole thing into layers or load each layer as a separate dxf file.
Also, one of the files is a series of 80-odd 2mm holes and this file just appears as a dot or small square in the window. This file seems to open OK in SheetCad.
I hope someone can help!
Thanks,
Richard

Thanks for that, Hood. I'm sure I'll get there eventually, but it makes my brain hurt!
Cheers

General Mach Discussion / Home location/limit switch problem
« on: December 16, 2007, 05:41:24 AM »
I'm building a moving-table type router table but I'm not certain where the X axis limit switch should be. As you look at the table, with the Y axis running towards you, I have fitted the switch to the left end of the X axis. However, I'm having trouble setting the axis travel so that the distance moved shows as a positive value in Mach3. Have I got  the switch on the wrong end of the axis?
This relates to the ' conventional' Home location (if there is such a thing) for the X and Y axes. Should that be at the left end of the table or the right?
I think I'm missing something obvious here, I've looked at some of the videos and searched this forum but can't fined an answer.
All help gratefully appreciated!
