Howdy,
My name is Wayne and I am brand new here and using CNC equipment. I work in etched and engraved glass, marble and granite and decided to try working in wood. I purchased a CNC router which came with Mach3 and have just started setting it up. I just loaded the software and began going thru the tutorials. Already I'm in trouble. When I hit the "driver test" line go all over he place. the tutorial says to get an optimization text file?? and that will walk me through it. I have two questions, first do I need to be hooked up to the CNC router when trying this test? If not, where do I find this file? any/all help is appreciated. I look forward to picking yalls brains and becoming dangerous at making sawdust.....
