HiCON Motion Controller / Torch On Signal
« on: April 14, 2021, 04:36:43 PM »
My other issues I had posted are all solved and I've got the machine zero'd in to where the motion, sensors, and home are all good.  Now I'm having another issue with something else.  I'm trying to figure out how to a good Arc OK signal.  I have an ARC ON and ARC ON COMMON coming off of my plasma cutter.  However I am not getting that signal to my Hicon.  Is anyone able to help me with the wiring setup and placement of the Arc ok signal and or any ways to trouble shoot the issue.  I'm getting the voltage for the THC and am able to turn the torch on and off....however am struggling to get an Arc OK signal.

I might not even have it mapped to the right thing but I followed the instruction manual and am still having the issue.....

Mach4 General Discussion / Settings Between Modules
« on: April 14, 2021, 03:18:43 PM »
Is there a way to get all my settings I performed for the Plasma Module to another Module?  When I switch to a different module I have to go back through all the settings and re-do all my inputs, outputs and motor settings.  Is there a quick fix for this?

Ok this is probably a simple one but I am having an issue with my homing.  Whenever I home even reversing the motors it always seems to home to Y0 with -Y being the only direction of travel.  Same thing with my X axis.  When I home I want to only have X+ and Y+ travel from the homing position.  I was wondering if anyone could assist with the issue?  Is this a setting inside of Mach4 that needs to be flipped or is it a setting with my controller?  Or wiring issue on my controller?

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Need Some Wiring Help

Edit #2 - Don't know why but my clock seems to be always on outputting a signal and when I go to do some movement the clock stops outputting a signal.  Is this correct?

Since I cannot Edit I'll update.  It seems some of my items are not shutting off correctly.  So my Z-CLK isn't shutting off when I stop Motion as well.

HiCON Motion Controller / Need Some Wiring Help
« on: April 12, 2021, 02:38:03 PM »
So I have a Hycon-Integra 7866 and am wiring into an Anaheim Automation DPK70004 (Old I know but it's what I have) and am having some issues with the stepper motors.  I have the stepper motors wired in the way I was able to figure out (the old controller was WinCNC and ran on windows XP) and have had to figure out the wiring.  I am currently wired single ended into the Z-CLK and Z-DIR on the Anaheim however one of the issues is I get no motion just this terrible high pitch alarm noise from the stepper motors.  However the other issue I'm having is the lights don't go out on the AA when I stop attempting motion.  The CLK or DIR light stays on and refuses to go out.  I can provide additional information if required on this or if anything needs clarification please let me know.
