Mach4 General Discussion / mach4 will not hold zero
« on: May 29, 2021, 04:28:30 PM »
I run an operation (using BobCad). Zero in "X" moves .100 when I put my next part in.

Hi Steve, I love short answers. It's around .125. it worked just fine for a long time.  I did mess with the config control, motor. I changed the X axis, then put it back where it was. I just went and checked and all 3 axis are inconsistent. I'm a a manual machinist and built my cnc machine from drawings. I got lucky I guess because it worked right off.

Mach4 General Discussion / Y axis is jumping
« on: March 27, 2021, 04:02:09 PM »
Hello All,
I run a program and it goes through the program just fine. I put in another part, Y axis jumped about .125, I keep running the program and it does fine except for the .125 initial jump. I put another part in and Y jumps another .125.
I run the  program from a cad drawing or enter the g code myself, and it does the same thing. When I use jog it is consistent through all parts. Could this be a glitch in the mach4 program?

Hi Greekart, Thank you for your reply. When I operate it manually, it works fine. When I type in a G code or  enter a G code using a cad cam program is when zero messes up.

Mach4 Toolbox / not drilling
« on: February 23, 2021, 05:45:19 PM »
Hello All, I have a program that I have used several times and it worked fine.  Part of it is drilling holes, I tried again today, when it gets to where its supposed to drill several holes, it moves along the correct tool path, as it gets to each hole it very briefly stops, hums, doesn't drill hole and moves on. I did mess with the "config. > control > motor and thought I got it back to the original numbers, but it still does the same thing. any suggestions?

FAQs / Re: conf. motors
« on: February 17, 2021, 12:48:07 PM »
Thank you for replying to my post, I had 33 people look at it, but only your answer. On the right side panel of the motor page I have my 3 motors check marked. Other than that I don't know what you mean when you say: "Put the curser on the motor and click". Could you clarify that please.

FAQs / conf. motors
« on: February 16, 2021, 04:47:06 PM »
conf.>control> motor> There are no figures for "Counts per unit", "Velocity", "Acceleration". Also, when I try to type in numbers they are not accepted. What am I missing?

Mach4 Plugins / Vista Pendant on Mach4
« on: October 23, 2020, 01:00:08 PM »
I have the Vista iMach P2-s Pendant. The directions say: go to config > plugins. I do that and the Pendant does not show up.  Any suggestion
