There are mdi ( manual data input boxes) in Mach3 you can enter tool diameter, feed rate etc. in.
The same parameters might be defined by g-code commands.
Which way "wins" when both ways are defined at the same time?
( Are there other parameters than diameter and feed rate and which way "wins" with them?)

PoKeys / Re: Sporadic "toolpath view" problems with "PoKeys57CNCdb25"

Hi,
want to tell you about a happy end (work around) to this topic:
After creating another partition, I have additionally installed win7 32-bit.
License has been cheap, and windows boot Manager now offers both my win10 64-bit and recently installed win7 32-bit. With win7 32-bit, i am able to use mach3 with its default parallel printer port driver ...

Solution is obsolete now in my case.

2 further problems have occured :

1.When trying to connect adapter "PoKeys57CNCdb25" to my machine controller card, I noticed that an additional db25-gender changer (female-female) is needed. Has taken some days to have it delivered to my place, but no real problem ...

2. After connecting "everything" (laptop-> PoKeys57CNCdb25-> machine Controller Card-> stepper motors) , no stepper Motor has made a single step. And it's NOT because of "emergency stop Signal" (mapped to pin 10 of db25 connector)

I have "surrendered" and returned this adapter to Vendor ….

PoKeys / Sporadic "toolpath view" problems with "PoKeys57CNCdb25"
« on: December 03, 2019, 11:06:12 AM »
Sorry, i am a newbie in Mach3 ...
But when migrating to new laptop with operating system Win10 Home (64Bit),
I have bought and installed "PoKeys57CNCdb25" to adapt usb interface to native parallel lpt-interface.
This has caused SPORADIC problems when choosing PoKeys' pulse engine, even with NO controller board attached: "Toolpath view" is sometimes weird, toolpath is incomplete and cut off, simulation program stops.
Such problems occur roughly in 1 of 3 loads of always the same "test gcode".
They NEVER occur when choosing the (useless) "normal printer port operation" starting MACH3.
Might there be a solution or workaround to this "problem"?
Details:
Mach3 Version R3.043.066
PoKeys Mach3 Plugin v3.35 (20190516)

Thank you in advance
