One way to do this is too set your soft limits for the Z-axis.

This video will show how to set up the inner wheel:

The keymap and gcode data is stored in the Machine.ini file for the profile that you are using.

I did have a few rare times that a restart didn't work. It took a second restart.

I also noticed that when the ShuttlePro settings don't load; and, whenever I do something that would cause a change in the Machine.ini file, the Machine.ini file would be updated without the ShuttlePro settings. Therefore, the ShuttlePro settings become lost, and additional restarts will not help.

I believe that this is a bug in Mach4. As a workaround, the first thing I do after startup is to verify that the ShuttlePro settings are loaded. I go to Diagnostic > Regfile > Shuttle0 to verify that my Gcode lines are there. It is a hassle, but I would rather do this than have to either reload all of my ShuttlePro settings or load a backup Machine.ini file.

I don't know if other pendants have the same behavior. I was using a iMach P4-S for a short time. However, it was causing my Windows10 to crash I then tried the ShuttlePro, and like it much better than the P4-S, regardless of the occasional non-start. When I first start Mach4, I usually check the regfile to verify that Mach4 loaded the Gcode for the ShuttlePro. It usually loads it; if not, I restart Mach4.

I have had this happen to me as well. It is less frequent now (v4322). It only does this when I first start Mach4. Restarting Mach4 will usually bring the settings back and the shuttle will work fine. The settings are stored in the Machine.ini file and remain there. For some reason, it appears that Mach4 doesn't always load the Machine.ini file completely on startup.

I am not sure if this info helps. This is for the Shuttle Pro V2 and not the Shuttle Xpress. This video shows how to configure the MPG for the inner wheel:

I don't remember the details exactly. When I was zeroing my machine using a script that I wrote that was working on many previous versions, it was having a failure when zeroing the tool (Z axis). It was having a failure before it hit the touch probe. I don't remember the error message. I then tried entering commands in the MDI panel. It would not move the Z axis; although it did home all axis.. The X and Y commands would work.  Didn't spend much time troubleshooting. I switched to 4322 using the same Profile, Screen, and Modules. Everything worked.

I really don't know if 4338 or what was corrupt. Since you are running 4322, the issue that I had may be unrelated to yours. Also, I am running ESS plugin 250, and the AVID CNC BOB. (not the PMDX126.

I have also had a similar issue with the latest version, 4338. I changed to an earlier version, 4322. My machine is working fine now.

I am not sure what it is; but, I had a similar problem with 4338. I switched to version 4322. All is well now.

Yes, if you do it that way. I calibrated mine by rotating the probe against an indicator, so that the probe is centered in the collet. I should also then calibrate as you describe , to compensate for any variance in flex. That would compensate for the amount of deflection before the probe is triggered.
