Can you point me in the right direction for a signal script? All I can find is how to get a button to control something like cycle start but nothing on an input signal controlling an output.

I am trying to set up my ATC in Mach 4 and would like to add a button to release a tool i stead of calling a tool change. I managed to write a basic script for the tool change using examples here but I cannot figure out a way to make a mechanical button control and output. Can anyone stear me in the right direction?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Digitizing Probe

I did find out today that the computer and software that came with the digitizer crashed.
I will have a look at the computer as soon as i get a chance but I sure wish mach3 could interface with this system.

Thanks for the info.

General Mach Discussion / Digitizing Probe

I know this subject has been brought up many times but I have questions on a different
type of probe. A friend has a probe that looks like a robot arm, cost $15000.00 american
dollars and he cannot get it working. the software seems to be dead or something.
I was wondering if Mach3 can receive the signals from the probe. It has a USB plug on it only.
The arm is mounted beside a granite table all nice an level. You double stick your part to the granite
and start probing the various surfaces and the software (hopefully Mach3) records the info. and spits out
a nice drawing but I have know idea what format it would be in. I have not even red the Mach3 probe

Can someone help me or get me going in the right direction.

General Mach Discussion / SpindleRPM
« on: April 20, 2006, 10:59:56 PM »
How do I set up Mach3 to tell me what RPM my spindle is turning with a simple interupt signal? It only has one notch so it would be one round per pulse.
I just do not know where to set up the signal.

Thanks eveyone!
I think I got it!

I have my machine going home perfectly but i would like for it to home
"X" and "Y" together after "Z" so it will be a little quicker.

General Mach Discussion / Homing "Z" first then "X" and "Y" together?

Can you set Mach3 to home "Z" then send "X & Y" home together instead of each one seperatly?

Tommy C.

Has the problems with backlash comp. been corrected so we can run in
constant velocity mode and use the backlash function?
