Mach4 General Discussion / Re: stop or hold program correctly
« on: January 23, 2020, 04:06:53 AM »
Thanks for the answer.
So Feedhold is the only way to stop the program without losing steps or mispositioning. Even if the tool does not stop exactly in every case.
The decision as to whether a feed stop is enough or a stop must be very quick. That’s a problem. Was that also the case with Mach3?

Mach4 General Discussion / stop or hold program correctly
« on: January 22, 2020, 09:56:55 AM »
Hello,
A G- code prograI have to relive and reset the zero points. It is very annoying. So far I have been helping myself to save the zero point position with "remeber position" in order to find the zero point again.m is processed. I have to press the stop button for some reason. When I run the program again (even after the Rewind program) the machine has forgotten its homing data.  What can I do better?
thank you in Advance!

Thank you very much. That is the solution. I was looking for this reading function and just couldn't find it.

Of course, that works with the registers. My special question was how the values are saved in the Probing / Settings screen. And: How are the values saved in the Machine.ini read back automatically (!!) when Mach4 is started and entered in the image? Exactly this automatic reloading is not possible for me..

Thanks, the answer is very short. Do you think I should use a register? iRegs e.g. ?

Mach4 General Discussion / Safe and reload a Value
« on: January 18, 2020, 08:16:03 AM »
Hallo,
after a long search, I just can't find a solution.
I want to save a value. I added a DRO in the "Probing, Settings" Display. I can save the value in the Machine.ini and also read it back (LUA script). But what does not work - the changed value is not currently in the added field after Mach4 restart. How do the other values that originally exist get their numerical values back?
Greeting

I'm excited about Mach4. However, a training period is necessary. It is not easy. But possible.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Two second output signal on M5 command.

The post is a bit older ...
To my understanding - I would like to have a macro (eg M7) which switches a compressor. I want to do that with a button and an M7 command from the G-code.
Currently I have this with a module (CustFunc.lua in the module folder) >> CustFunc.m7 ()
and call cf.m7 () made via button. In addition, I have in the macro folder a same macro m6 () - that's what I call about the M command z.B from the MDI. It works both. Image button and MDI. Is it also more elegant about just one function?
