General Mach Discussion / Re: Please help 6040 cnc
« on: January 03, 2019, 08:02:31 PM »
It’s an old PC Xp desktop, nothing on it but Mach 3. The cpu usage goes from 16 to 35 percent. Sometimes I see a jump when it happens to 36 percent but not always. I don’t get this issue when I use the cnc usb program it came with. I’m using parellel cable with Mach 3, windows update is disabled no screen saver and PC never goes to sleep.

I am running a paid version of mach 3 with a dedicated xp machine offline with a parallel cable. Any help would be useful.

I have a 6040 china cnc that I had running fine but my pc died and I got everything back up and running but I get a random clunk or jerk while operating x and y axis. What should I look for?

I build computers for a living so I have that taking care of, my only concern is the controller and drivers at this point. I am also only using 3 axis.

I bought a 6040 China machine and it came with a jp-3163b controller board that I can’t seem to get to work with make 3 so I am looking at just replacing it. I’m looking for suggestions, the machine has 24v power supply and nema 57 motors. I am looking for best components to get running with this setup without spending more than 2-300. Please advise. Thank you.

Someone please help, I bought a chinese 6040 cnc and can't figure out how to set it up with mach 3. I got it to work with the supplied cncusb software but can't get a response from Mach 3.
