Hello,

I am Donnie. I live on the coast of NC.

I purchased a used home built cnc plasma table that came with the Mach software. I have had a little experience in CNC machining, but not a lot. I was introduced to CNC machining during collage Machine shop classes. I was pretty much trained in writing G-code and very little CAD software at the time. Needless to say, that was a life time ago, lol.
 
I love learning new things. My hope in the future is to retrofit my mill and lath with cnc controls. Along with other projects in mind. I do like the flexibility of the Mach software and look forward to years of fun, learning and growth with it.

I have done the search and have not found an answer to my issue. Maybe I did not word my search quite right who knows. lol

I purchased used home built cnc plasma machine and have been trying to work out some bugs and do a couple of up grades.
The z axis limit switch was not operational and it did does not have a THC on it. I purchased a THC to install and began to install. First thing I need to do is get the z axis limit switch operational.
 
I found the switch was bad. Replaced it. Then found that the setting in Mach3 were not correct. Changed those and Boom, it worked. Kind, lol.

My Issue. When I jog down and the limit switch triggers (opens) it stops. Like it is suppose to. I hit rest jog the reverse direction, as soon as the limit switch (closes) it stops again. I have to hit the reset again to continue motion. I am sure its something simple that I am over looking.

What could it be?
