HiCON Motion Controller / MainLoop Tick Interval Error
« on: March 04, 2021, 07:31:36 PM »
Hello,

I have a 7766 and Mach4 (All latest Firmware/Software/Plugins)-

I am getting the following error repeating upon connection of Mach with the Integra:
"MainLoop Tick Interval Out of Range.  Average Interval at 15.*********, Config 8ms"

and whenever I jog an axis,

"______WARNING: Main Loop Process Duration: xx.*********ms, Config 8ms"

I am able to home to limits and jog, but haven't run any programs yet.

Can you please help me clear this up?

Thank you

HiCON Motion Controller / 7766 Plugin 2.03.40
« on: March 03, 2021, 08:09:50 PM »
Hello, I am going through the process of updating all my system firmware/software and I went to download the latest plugin which is shown to be v2.03.40 (per the filename Mach4-Integra-7766-7866-4.20_Plugin-2.03.40.zip).  When I unzip and place the files into the Mach4 directory the information in Mach indicates v2.03.35 .

Is there a v2.03.40 ?

Thank you

I greatly appreciate your insanely rapid response that, also, most notably, worked.

Thank you.

HiCON Motion Controller / Basic Wiring 7766
« on: August 23, 2019, 08:45:29 PM »
I am wiring things up and am having trouble with the e-stop, safety relay and INP0.
I am doing it wrong.
Can someone get me squared away?
What I have:
Powered 7766 (24v,5v,common & ground), PC with Mach4 and ethernet to 7766, 7766 plugin working (communicating with board), VSI communicating (latest firmware and FPGA), safety relay (coils activate with 24v power), an e-stop (with both NO/NC) wired for NC

What I need help getting to:
Correctly wiring so that the 7766 setting of ESTOP on pin 0 with an active on low (set via VSI) will work when I hit the e-stop (breaking the circuit and killing power to the driver/motor power supply).

I have attached an image in case it helps to doodle a response.

Thanks

I’m ready to purchase all the electronics for the conversion of a bench top mill and I have some questions about the Integra 7766, Mach4 and closed loop.

To start with, the things that I care about now are true 3 axis and closed loop- also not having to eat dog food for a year ($)   :-\
The next things I’d like to add in the future are 4th axis and spindle control.

The products (relating to my questions) I’m looking at now -

HiCon Integra 7766

Mach4

Leadshine easy servo (NEMA 24 M22430 & NEMA 34 M23440 steppers with integrated encoders)
Leadshine easy servo drivers x3 (ES-D808)

My questions are-

1- Is there an advantage to using a different driver (without the closed loop monitoring of the ES-D808) and passing the signals straight to the 7766?
1.1- If I use the ES-D808 is there a way to pass have the 7766 and/or Mach4 recognize the closed loop – would I have to re-home after an e-stop for example?

2- Will the 7766 handle the 3 encoder signals from the easy servos “out of the box” (no extra purchasing)?
2.1- Would purchasing  INTG-CLOOP change the way encoder signals are handled by the 7766 or information sent to Mach4?

3- Am I missing anything?

Thank you for any help and direction
