« on: September 02, 2020, 04:42:20 AM »
Hi Twekie
ive hit a wall trying to set up script for the z touch probe just cant get my head around it . could you possible fill in the blanks on your script ? . touch plate is 40.37mm
 maz z travel is 100mm
i think standoff distance above probe has to be greater than 40.37 mm ? beyond me im afraid .
 any information gladly received

Hi guys please excuse  me if this is not directly connected to mack 3 but i would like to install a touch probe to the interface board on my cnc , my problem is i have used all 3 available inputs 10/13/15 for limit switches xyz . is there a way to loop the 3 switches to one available input thus freeing up 10 or 15 and how may i do this ?
kind regards Jon

Hi Gerry
im using a machine supplied from a manufacturer in Poland image attached. A robust machine that has proved to make money so far . I guess this is a learning curve , checking out high rpm slow feeds was a starting point i need to find the sweet spot for this material

Not sure if this is the correct place for this post ?
Looking for advise on cutting Acetal / Delrin 12.5 mm thick . I im getting reasonable results at 20mm per second at 20,000 rev per minute 3 passed last pass .5 offset with a 6mm twin flute bit but Still minor chatter marks on the edge. The work piece is held down well so maybe a different cutter or feeds and speeds need adjusting ?

Hi guys
in the deep end here again just when you think things are going well .
My machine was built for me and supplied with what now appears to be an early version of Mach 3 VD1:90:065 ARGH  >:D pity the machine is a great build and works perfectly but the early version lacks some ability to set certain parameters
I already have a current version on my office pc that i purchased to learn the program .
My knowledge of computers is minimal although i have an outline idea of what to do i need some input on copying which files  over from the supplied memory stick ,these i assume being the XML files and the profile files created  by the manufacturer .
I was going to install the new version on the workshop pc and run it along side the older version until im sure i have things right
