Tweakie,

Thank you for your prompt response!  No I am not aware of that, good to know.  I'm the IT guy here who had to get a PC built to control the machine with Mach3.  My dad also works here who is a machinist by trade so I will definitely work with him on purchasing the carbide bits.

Again appreciate your advice,
Carl

Hello,

I want to get some feedback from folks on this forum if any had or would attempt to use a mini CNC 3040 machine for engraving tags on business card size stainless steel .032 inch plates.  The company I work for had bought this machine a couple of years ago with it's intended use of making tags with alphanumeric characters.  I have contacted the vendor of this machine, Chinacnczone asking for end mills specific for stainless steel material; they replied that this unit is too small for stainless steel engraving.  Then said I could search the internet for bits to fit this unit.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions for be appreciated,

Carl

Mach3 and G-Rex / Installation of Mach3Version D1.90.038 not quite complete
« on: December 02, 2016, 12:36:30 AM »
I have installed Mach3 vD1.90.038 on an HP m7330n running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, but according to the instructions manual I noticed a couple of steps that was missing.

1. The Setup Finished window didn't have the "Load Mach3 Driver" checkbox, only "Install English Wizards" checkbox was listed.
2. After clicking [Finish] button for setup I did not get the popup message, "Master License File found and copied to Folder".
3. I did not get the popup message, "Mach3 driver is now installed. You should Re-Boot before running program again.

After rebooting PC and running progam (MACH 3 MILL), I get a popup message, "Error Starting after prep".  Moving the arrows on keyboard doesn't control X,Y,Z axis; data on Mach3 is changing though.  I've confirm setup of the pin in Mach 3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Carl
