Glad to see I can Help. The Ethernet Smooth Stepper Doesn't need drivers for the Ethernet connection that's part of the Computer and can be connected to 3 parallel ports. Mach3/4 is working with the ESS so no need to worry about upgrades in the future. Network ports will be around for a while. If you are using internet on the same computer use a separate Ethernet card. Not advised to use a external router.

In motor home and soft limits there is a place to reverse the direction right beside the Z limit on the left side of the page. Hope this help there is always a fix in this program or a way around the problem.

Hi:) In config ports and pins at the Z Axis under direction active change the check mark or Red x to the opposite of what it is and that will change the direction of the motor or change the wires to the stepper motor for direction or if it is Ac servo change the two outside wires will change the direction of the motor keeping in mind that the wiring of the encoder could be the problem. ;D

Even thole you are using the ESS you still use the settings in config / ports and pins /Motor outputs/ dir active is low for 0Volts and high active for 5volts and the same for step. this is were you change the setting for the blank boxes you can't see.

These port 1 pins from 2 to 9 are only outputs for driver pulse and direction four X,Y,Z,A Axis for drivers to servo or steppers.

Mach3 will run on any Windows OS from Windows 2000 through Windows 8. The parallel port driver included with Mach3 will only work with 32-bit DESKTOP computers with versions of Windows 2000 through Windows 7, but will not work with any 64-bit version of Windows or with Windows 8. Windows 8 and 64 bit versions of windows require an external motion device ( Ethernet Smooth stepper needs no drivers and mach3 has support for it ) which can be purchased very reasonably.
